My 97 tahoe has just got the front brake pads replaced brand new and the back brake shoes the same, still grinding terribly. Could it be the Cv axle or something else ?

Both , at first it only grind when i drive and hit the brakes now it sounds terrible like something is about to brake off when i hit the brakes period

Is the grinding coming from the front or the back ? And when you say still grinding was it doing this before the brakes where done ?
