check engine light flashing on and off no gas power

my 2007 Hyundai accent just had ck. engine light come on today, seems rough when I start it. light flashes on and off   what is up ?  I do not want to drive it, having towed in am.

Good choice it's ok to drive one if light is just on but if check engine light is flashing turn car off ASAP. Have a good mechanic check it out.

it means severe engine problems are occuring that may result in Catalytic Converter damage. A misfire WILL cause the CEL to blink. But so can other problems. You should stop driving it and have the code checked.
