car lose of power and high revs

Asked by sugerandspice2 Nov 24, 2015 at 11:40 AM about the 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK 280

this has happened twice now driving along revs get higher but my car wont
change gear, then when pulled over changed into park and then drive and it
jumped violently, i turned engine off and it mended itself again??
