Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Diagnostics shows the car is sound and nothing wrong, although the check engine light
just came on this morning for the first time.
Any ideas?

Take the car to a local Autozone, O'reilly Auto Parts etc. and have them read the code(s). Reading the codes is usually a free service. The codes may help determine the cause. Post the code(s) here and maybe someone can help point you to the cause of the trouble.

Hello Jules, My wifes 2011 C-250 is doing the same. It has now been randomly cutting out for 15 months. Has been to 4 different workshops but as no fault codes are showing up nobody has been able to fix it. it may go fine for a month and then have 3 or 4 cut-outs in a day. Very dangerous at higher speeds in heavy traffic. If you have had any luck with yours can you please share. Thanks Brian
