Take a look at your motor oil..pull the dipstick and see if it's brown, sorta like chocolate milk. Take your radiator cap off cold, run engine until thermostat opens and check for bubbles. What those are is basic preliminary tests for a blown out head gasket. If either happens, MAYBE not for sure is HG. But does it turn over and not start or not even crank over? And how long was it running hot before shut off?
While my fiance was driving the ford edge, it suddenly ran hot, and when she turned it off, it never started back up.
