how to change entire tail light driverside

I have Audi A4 quatro convertible 2.0T
driverside tail light lense is broken . do I have to replace the entire thing or just the lense cover , how to do it, is there a manual for this?

this is a very simple job. Take out the trunk liner on the drivers side(pulls right back) and unplug the bulbs/wiring harness if need be. Unscrew and install in reverse.
