My rear window seal on my 2007 Ford Mustang GT CS convertible is coming undone!

Orlando auto Glass and Trim in Chicago (312) 243-0776 only thing is if youre not in Chicago you have to take the top off to send it to them for repairs, but they don't solve the problem, if the top is to shrunk up they cannot tell with out the top being on the car so they wont guarantee it but it might be worth a shot

The issue is caused in some cases by the top itself shrinking to the point where it can no longer actually fit the window on the top and bottom edges... If it shrunk to this extent it still can be fixed but if requires a different method as compared to just regluing the top back to the glass. One thing that can be done is finding some excess convertible top material in a matching color and adding a "U" shaped piece as a "bellows" ( that's the only way I can think of to describe it.) This will allow extra material to reattach the top even with excessive shrinkage as well as allow for continued shrinking in the future. Another option is having a custom piece of glass made/cut which is larger in the top-bottom direction.. this is what I did with mine but I have contacts for custom glass... I suppose you could replace it with lexan or even a typical soft vinyl window material like some convertibles come with factory and achieve the same purpose. Whatever you do use an extremely high quality glue, I work in the aerospace industry and have access to NASA grade epoxies and that's what i used but this stuff is ridiculously expensive... I was able to use it myself at no charge specifically because we never use all of a kit before it expires date wise. Hope that helps.
