Starting

Asked by Tiffany Feb 15, 2017 at 11:13 PM about the 2000 Buick Regal LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Buick Regal when I start the car for
the first time it runs fine all day long will not die if I
shut it off I have to wait about 30 minutes for it to
cool back down and  will start again no problems
will not start before it cools down somebody told
me it could be the ignition switch modulator that
it's old ignition switch modulator gets hot and it
has to cool down to restart does that sound right
to you

Now just going buy symptom but it sounds much like the Ignition Module/Control Unit/Ignitor Will have to ask them at auto parts store to look on their computer for its location as I do not have a repair manual for that model but they can verify or let you look at a manual up by the counter.

Thanks that's what I been thinking but did not want to spend 200 if not it is under the coil packs
