Motor swap

Asked by Jimmy Mar 25, 2017 at 11:01 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1997 RS Camaro the
6 cylinder engine has gone to
crap  The car was a gift from my
deceased mother.So I was
looking to keep the car in the
family for a while...
I am wanting to swap the blown
6cyl for a 350 small block. My
question is ..Is the 5 speed
manual transmission and rear
end compatible for the 2 engines?
Or would it just be cheaper to buy
another 6cyl or rebuild this one i
stead of putting some power in it
?
