o2 sensors should be located in the exhaust system located between the exhaust manifolds and the catalytic converter. Could be 1, 2 or 3, happy hunting.

There are a total of 3 sensors on the 3800 series Camaros. two before the cat and one after. the two before are located between the manifolds and the Y pipe and there is a 3rd one located downstream from the catalytic converter. I have a 96 with the same motor so i know the layout as well as anyone.
