Is it my Trans

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer. My truck can start and
the gear shift can move but regardless of what
gear I put it in it will not move. Two days ago it
went forward in reverse. I drove it even yesterday
and after driving it a while I was even able to
reverse. Now today, I put it in drive and it barely
moved. Glad it had enough power to be parked.
Can someone tell me what's going on?

as stated above smell trans fluid....also is fluid pink or brown? does it make any noises when you put it in gear and attempt to move it?...such as a whining sound?

Thanks Guru9P89L for you response. Yes oldcarpenter, it does make a whining sound. Going out to check color of fluid will get back with you
