1997 blazer transmission

Asked by Perry02 Apr 02, 2016 at 04:47 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put new seal in for the new filter and used the right kind
of fluid but it won't take off in 1st. If you have it in over
drive it starts in second and doesn't change out but if I
put it in second and switch to third it will work. What
could be the problem

When changing the trany fluid, when adding new fluid back into the trany, need to have your foot on the brake and shift threw the gears to cycle threw the new fluid. Keep checking the fluid level while doing this and add until full.
