Wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put in new alternater. Its a place 97 blazer. It
makes ticking noise but wont start. All the lights
work. Whats wrong. Do we need starter fluid.

what about a jump start ? A new alt. doesn't like to charge a dead batt. you can ruin it . Make sure batt. terminal;s are tight , why did you replace the alt. ?

Sound like a weak battery or bad battery connections. The starter could be bad.
