making knocking noice from engine

first son put wrong oil but couple days took out and replaced oil. but it has knocking noice now

Did your son change the oil and use 50 wt. or add oil to an engine that had a low oil level? If the oil level was low, how much did he add?

Ya we know that this truck was just purchased by my young son then drove 8 hrs then knocking wouldn't start hooked the sensor reader up said to change cam señor did that then it said change to change the crank sensor did that starts now but has a knocking in it and gets loaded when excelerating

Ya this truck was just purchased then drive 8 hrs. Then when started to knock bad sensor reader said change cam sensor then said change crank sensor. Did both sensors now starts again but knocking loaded when excell

I have a 1999 Mitsubishi VR4 legnum. And its making a nocking sound in the engine. I don't no what caused the problem. can I fix it and HOW.
