Transmission service info

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Does it have timming chain or belt replacement plus ac system, type of fuel plus octane required. Any recalls.

I've never known volvos to have anything other than a toothed timing belt, which is a NON-interference situation, so if it breaks...not so much of a big deal...the V70 might be different, but I doubt it. Is there not an owner's manual in the glovebox? Could research recalls, but you could do this yourself- gas is not special on this car.
It does has a belt and it's turbocharged. It might call for premium gas. Look under the hood for a decal. It might be on the dash by the fuel gauge or near the filler pipe.

there are three recalls for this 2005 vehicle-- check NHTSA will tell you.

not clear on where "transmission service" fits into this post.
My transmission is blown I just need a new or used one and so I just was looking to see if anyone knew what other Volvos had a transmission that was compatible with mine when I'm looking 4 or ordering a used transmission online or I found a couple other 03 Volvos people have as parts cars and I want to know if any of them are compatible with mine.
