1998 V70 worth keeping at 225km?

Asked by gwenecho Apr 26, 2016 at 04:10 PM about the 1998 Volvo V70 Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has had regular service all its life and still runs well at 225km Only a few
big ticket items to be replaced and A/C no longer works. I love my car and it
has a few minor rust spots starting. Is it worth it to me to have the body fixed
up a bit and keep it going for a few more years or just leave it and tend to the
mechanical issues - it's a truly wonderful car.

thank you! it is paid for and it's almost a vintage car at this point. I'm going to get some estimates for the body sprucing :)

These 1998 V70's are available and easy to locate, I suggest you do NOT spend money on the body, when you could buy a very clean excellent original example of this vehicle for $3500 or less. For those who are FANS of it.

but how do I know it is as good mechanically? I've had this one all it's life (so to speak) so I know it's been taken care of. That's my problem with getting another one that I don't know the history.
