Any resolution ever found for the 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T with the rough shifting?

Problem first started with hard downshift from 2nd to 1st. Now it jerks hard when accelerating,usually at 20 mph. Its like the car hesitates and then jerks as I am stepping on the gas. It is more prevelant in stop and go traffic.

Well, I guess I'll give autozone's advice a try, after connecting the code reader to vehicle, they advised removing the TCM and having them send it off to recalibrate it, they said it takes about a week to get it back and it only costs $200.
