Has anyone have had a problem not getting his/her S40 smoked due to the intermittent check engine light coming on/off??

Asked by Andy0918 Sep 17, 2014 at 10:29 AM about the 2006 Volvo S40 2.4i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

S40 is due for a smog, but the scanner continuously generate a code 220b, and won't
pass smog although the pressure and oxygen sensors were replaced.  Volvo dealership
states that its a electrical problem and has had the car for over 3 days running
diagnostics.  Help… what should I do, the car only has 55k miles and is in excellent
shape.

It's been there 3 days but they have not been working on it all that time of you would have a bill at least $2500 and piling up. That is a heated sensor, so even if the sensor is good it could be the power to it. I think you meant 'smogged' not smoked..right? A typo
