Start with the codes, you can't guess with these cars. Water is also a bad sign, that is no good for the electronics in these cars.
Remember the last hurricane in New Orleans? Well, you got one of those cars that got submerged in the flood. You'll likely find a waterline around the engine bay, trunk, and interior. Look under the dash for evidence of it being drowned too. Water standing on the floorboards is a terrible sign, but you're going to see a lot of electronics that are still wet, as well. It's the wet that's gotten into electrical circuits and is causing all the troubles you listed..... I'm guessing you found this car in dry Southern California; a lot of them show up here (LA to Orange County). And I'm guessing you paid two grand for the car. At this point, repairs will be enormous even if you have the knowledge & expertise to fix ALL that's wrong with this car. I suggest you find a way to get your money back because it really belongs in the salvage yard. Lots of people have been defrauded into buying junk like this.

It could have been a flood car, but it could also be something more typical, such as a sunroof leak.
