Volvo Front Struts Replacement

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a volvo 2005 s40 2.4i, I need front  struts and my mechanic wants to put in
monroe struts he will buy at autopartwarehouse  for $120/a piece (for the assembly).  I
don't want to compromise   and need to know if Volvo Struts are necessary. Thank you,

Thank you very much. I did not realize the type of strut made that much of a difference on how the car drives. I drive short interstate commutes and around town in Atlanta. I'm not sure what type of strut I would want. I guess I would want the type that was originally on the car? Can you recommend what type is best?
