Hello, I have had my 1997 Volvo 850 for almost 10 years, and have to say I would not get another 850. These cars have problems with stalling - my sister's stalled in the middle of an intersection with her infant in the back. The 850s are also known to temporarily lose power in wet conditions and to run less well in cold weather. My two cents is to steer clear, but they are very comfortable and safe to balance out their other quirks. CarGrrl
