centre console problems

I have an R56 Mini cooper S JCW and the centre console has stared acting strange, the mini emblem comes on when you start the car then it'll go off after a while and come back on again after a few minutes. while all this is happening I can't get satnav, radio or anything else to work. there isn't a set time with it, sometimes it will all work after a minute or so other times it takes 10 to 15 minutes before it works normally, I don't think it's lose connections because it does the same thing if the car is stationary?

I thought loose connection myself that's why I tried it without driving off just in case bumps in the road was making it come on, I got the same results so I don't think it's a loose connection. Also I don't think it's a dodgy bulb as nothing works, no sound from the radio just the Mini emblem for a little while then the screen goes totally blank then the emblem comes back on. The radio may come on and everything starts working as normal or it could go back again and start working 5 to 10 minutes later. I've been told it may need reprogramming and to send off the console to BBA reman?
