Brake lights and turn signals don't work

everything needs a ground , if they share a bulb your hot brake wire may run through the directional switch . With brakes applied a directional may take over for one of them . Look for any obvious wiring problems .

Turn signal switch, grounding issues, IC board inside the tail lights, wiring harness issues.
