I have a 2006 Nissan Titan what is the difference between a 2wd and 4wd rear end if the gears are the same

If the gear ratios are the same the only difference might be that the 4x4 had a limited slip or locking differential. If your rear axle is broken upgrade it to a Currie ----- http://www.fourwheeler.com/how- to/1112or-currie-nissan-titan-heavy-duty-rear-axles/
