My speedometer and other dashboard gauges no longer work

Asked by Carolyn May 21, 2017 at 04:30 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gauges on my dash board aren't working. I've
checked all of my fuses and they are all good. What
could be causing them to no longer work?

there's probably more than one fuse box , take a look under the hood and check the owners manual for what each fuse powers , look on line if you have to

Yes I have a fuse panel inside the car and there is another under the hood and I checked all of the fuses in both. I couldn't find anything helpful in my owners manual or in my Chilton's repair manual. I could look it up on the internet, do you have any website suggestions by chance?

I'm sure there are other sites that provide info. I just use this one , thats an older car , which is a good thing , I would get a multi tester and go under the dash board to see what the problem is , could be one wire or connection , let us know what happens
