1998 Chevy malibu 2.4l engine cover

I have a 1998 chevy malibu 2.4l and on the underside of the engine cover are rubber bushing/spacer type things that are connected to it normally. Mine are not and I just lost one recently. Not sure If i should replace them or say screw em and take them all off. I will add pictures to show what I'm talking about. Mine are not attached and I'm positive they're not the original. Not sure if they are important or not. If I do need them where can I buy more and what are their real names?

I cannot find the part at my usual spots. Might have to get one from the wreckers. My advice would be to replace it. You do not want to damage the coil cover by lowering the cover towards the spark plugs and adding extra stress. Always make sure that the ground strap is connected to the head. If you installed the other three for know it would work untill you can find a replacement (as long as the one at the ground strap is still there. If it's not replace it before running or swap. P.S. Once the plastic coil cover is cracked it needs to be replaced. I wish this design would have died with the Quad 4.

The engine cover isn't necessary. It's just there to look pretty. I usually just leave my engine cover off. If you really want one, pick one up at a junk yard

@Dorian. On the Quad 4's through to the Twin Cam the Engine cover is the common grounds for the coil packs. It is required.
