How much bad gas? What kind of bad gas. Old gas or dirty gas? Neither should smoke but kerosene will. --- If it was dirty, the filters could be plugged up. If it was old gas, it should run with a decrease in power. If it was kerosene, remove as much as you can and dilute the rest with regular gas.

Put as much "good" gas in it as possible to dilute the "bad" gas. I recommend taking a look at the spark plugs as well as the filters to make sure they have not fouled.
