I would recommend that you see a few tire shops near you. Most people a "brand" shoppers. some will say "goodyear" others will say "firestone". but if you go to a few tire shops, they will be able to get you a good set of tires that is in your budget. best of luck

Some people are serious about the sportscar side of the Miata, live in a sunny, warm climate, and want a high-grip summer tire. Some people have snow up to their knees 6 months out of the year, only drive their Miatas 3 months a year, and love its convertible aspect. What tires you buy depends on your purpose. I enjoy the performance side of my Miata and autocross it; I prefer Falken Azenis 615s, which are affordable and have very high grip. If it drops below 40 degrees they lose all traction and turn into deadly iceslides if it hits freezing.

Fuzion ZRI (good summer performance tire), Bridgestone Potanza S03 Pool Position (expensive about $1,100 for a set of 4, however best summer performance tires on the market). I do belive that OEM was Bridgestone.

i know this is kinda reviving this from the dead, but if you have stock wheels I would suggest Falcon RT-615's. These are a low treadwear tire, but the performance is amazing.
