sticky tacky dash board~ what needs to be done to get it back to normal?

sounds like the sun did that to the dash, started that way on my old camaro, i scrubbed it down with Armor All then bought a dashboard covei dunno about that epson salt mixture, epson salt is pretty rigged, i cant imagine that being doing anything but being a scratchy texture and the salt ruining your plastics.. but i've never tried that.

My 2009 Miata has gremlins. I will be driving along and the lights on the dash begin blinking and the radio will not turn up down off or change channels. I took it to the local dealer who said they can't do anything unless I bring it to them while it's happening. This is a random thing. It lasts for a few minutes and then everything is fine.
