Just bought 1990 MX 5 does not have a spare. Can I get a regular size tire and still have in fit in trunck

I'd imagine that it would still fit in the trunk. That would be the way to go anyway, compact spares are nothing more than a stopgap.

Thanks Jonathan, it has 15's on it now i was thinking of getting the same wheel and tire that is on car will be kinda expensive, but at least if i get a flat it will be the same, do you think that would be stupid?

It would be in your best interest to just get a 15" steel rim with a cheap used tire (with plenty of tread, of course) of the same size. You can quite often pick up the rims for next to nothing at wrecking yards or tire shops.

the stock tire and rim fits in the wheelwell,just cuts down on all that trunk space,somewhere they must sell it with a real tire,get one at the wrecking yard,what I did to my 1994.
