The '98 Camaro had an optional limited-slip differential that was standard on the Z28 trim. Hope that helps!

Been looking for the info for a long time, just can't seem to find it. You would be able to find the info in a Chilton Owners manual which you can get at any auto store or at a library. It pays for itself over time and its not very expensive. It has diagrams and step by steps on how to replace or fix problems with your car.
