1998 chevy Blazer usually jump starts immediately, cold day and wont start

Asked by BlazerGirl98 Jan 16, 2018 at 08:35 AM about the 1998 Chevrolet Blazer 2-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Usually when it's really cold out,  the blazer needs a
jump start. It'll then start immediately with out
having to let the cables sit on the battery for a bit.
So yesterday it was kinda cold out and my fiance
tried to start it which eventually led to him getting
the cables out.  Well he used his niece's little drop
top Chrysler to jump it.  Well it wouldn't start.  It
sounded like it was just about there every time
we'd turn the key,  but it was like that little car
wasnt enough power to start it.  We had them
cables on for a good 20mins. Nothing, we
eventually took them off and used his niece's car.
The truck has no other known problems and like I
said usually starts right away but  didn't.  And we
can't leave it on the road like that. We spent the
night by her in the suburbs and that's where our
truck is now.  Today I was gonna have her
neighbor and mechanuc try to jump start with his
big dodge pickup truck.  Maybe it needs lots of HP
or a battery/engine bigger or same size to jump
it..... What do u think or suggest
