Radio works but no sound

Asked by poppaj Aug 07, 2014 at 04:51 PM about the 2006 Acura TL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2 year old decided the tape deck in my 2006 Acura TL was a piggy bank.  I was
able to remove all of the change but the radio did not work or come on.  I replaced two
blown fuses, the Radio and the ACC fuse.  The radio lit back up and came on
afterwards, I put my code in and I thought I had fixed it.  Now the Radio lights up,
except I have no sound.  I do hear a faint sound coming from the center speaker on the
dash, but it is static.  The radio recognizes stations and xm seems to pull a signal.  I
am starting to think that the coins messed up the amp but I didn't know if there was a
relay or another fuse I should look for.  Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.
