My MIL turned on on my 2005 vw passat gls. I just bought the car 2 days ago! :(. It is a steady light / not blinking. Is it serious? Should I return the car?

Definitely bring the car back ASAP. You should have at least a 30 day warranty, even if it's not a CPO vehicle. Get the Dealer to fix whatever is wrong with it at THEIR expense.
