05 Volkswagen Passat Window Jammed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Passat window door seems to have jammed
and i cannot figure out why. It was working perfectly
forever, but eventually when i was trying to bring it
back up, it made a grinding sound and jammed half
way up. I tried to bring it back down but it grinded
the entire way. When i tried it bring it back up, it
again grinded and scratched my window. Do you
think it's simply off track or is it a bigger problem?

its likely jumped its track. take the door panel off and give her a check. should be preaty easy to figure out. and most vw/audi cars has 2 screwes one on each upper corner of the panel, then 2 hiden behind the handle grip. then you just slide the panel upwards and it comes off. if you need a guide try finding a youtube video should be of great help.
