My W8 has acid reflux!

Asked by ewht Mar 24, 2008 at 01:47 PM about the 2004 Volkswagen Passat W8

Question type: General

My car only has aproc 6600 miles on it.
I took it on a road trip this past weekend, and was unable to fill the tank in an efficient manner. The nozzle filling th tank kept back firing. This occurred more than once, and at several different gas stations.
Does anyone have an advise as to what it could be?

Take this to a dealership. I have had cars that did this, usually it went away, sometimes it was my fault for not putting the nozzle in properly.

Some cars just have a tighter bend in the path to the tank, to instead of turning on the nozzle on full blast put it on around 2/3, it will take longer, but no gas will burp and wreck the paint!
