Asked by Mike Nov 10, 2016 at 11:30 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Passat GL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 03 passat 1.8t and i am replacing the
turbo. Should i put oil in the turbo before first start
to lubricate and if so where do i add it.

1 Answer

There will be oil lines that go to the turbo. It can't hurt to squirt oil into the oil fittings on the turbo.
