My 2002 Passat Wagon wont start and the alarm continues to go off. every time i lock the
driver door with the key the car wont start.

It's the anti theft system. If you have the radio code for it try this. With the key in your pocket. Disconnect the battery for about a half hour. That MIGHT reset the anti theft. But you will need to reset the radio with your code.
