2001 1.8L In line4, 68k miles.

Taking a trip, 1200 round trip miles. Paranoid about exhaust going south.
Just had breaks done and upon inspection got a heads up:

Somewhere in the $400 range sounds about right, so I don't think you are too far off. I have heard of shops charging $800 for the job. Some places may actually just weld the existing flex pipe back together, but then there's no guarantee that it's going to stay on for an extended period of time. I'm not sure if you're interested in doing it yourself, but here are some directions if you need them. http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive/how_to/4218244.html
