Asked by Carla Jan 05, 2019 at 05:47 PM about the 2006 Volkswagen Beetle 2.5L

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am looking at purchasing a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle for my daughter.  It has
117,00 miles, and it looks to be in very good condition.  How safe and reliable
is this car?

It's only as safe as the driver and the drivers around her. Bigger is always better. And this vehicle is due for inspection and possible replacement of the (camshaft) timing belt. Replacement is $500 to $1500 depending on who does it.
