Check engine light

Asked by ccjordan16 Jun 15, 2016 at 10:31 PM about the 2005 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 1.8L Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light came on a few days ago. So I
went to O'Reillys to get the free check engine light
test. It ended up being the O2 sensor p0717. Is this
something I need to get fixed right away. And is it
possible to do on my own or do I have to take it into
a shop.

Your VW is a complicated beast and you might want to stay on top of everything- in the correct way- with a good VW mechanic- or one day you'll wake up and there is nothin' but a bag of problems sitting out in your driveway- not the kind of car you can cheap out with-
