Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello! I have a 2005 VW Beetle Convertible
and it lost engine power when I was driving
to work the other day. I have replaced the
crankshaft position sensor, and the engine
turns over but does not start. I know I need a
new catalytic converter - can these issues be
related? How do I get my car to run again?

It might have thrown the timing belt. As far as the catalytic converter, I don't think it's related unless you have an engine code that points to the O2 sensors.

It had previously thrown O2 codes but I think I've likely replaced all of the O2 sensors at this point. Thanks, I'll look into the timing belt.
