common oil leak problems

Asked by Steve Jun 10, 2013 at 04:52 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

oil can leak from anywhere/eveywhere...what is needed here is a can of "foamy engine brite" and a trip to the self-serve carwash where we can "steam clean" the oil off of there----be sure to bring a can of WD- 40, so that you'll be able to drive out of there (water displacer, after steam power-shower)....after it dries, drive back to the house and pull out the flashlight and see what's goin' on....you know grab the oil filter and twist it 1/4 turn tight...could be leaking from there....a very common location for leaks~
