Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 VW bug. Most recently it has started having problems that if I drive it for say
20 minutes up to a few hours and shut it off. Go inside to do something like grocery
shopping and come back out it will not start. Sometimes it has to sit for 20 minutes
before it will other times it has to sit over night. It will sound like its trying to start but it
just won't turn over.

Have your battery checked. If is more than four years old it is probably time for a new one.
