Drop hitch switch

Asked by Jeremy Jan 14, 2019 at 10:07 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4-Door RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I currently have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd and a 1999 4 door 2wd
Tahoe.   I am going to be selling my truck soon, and I would like to transfer the
drop hitch from my truck to my Tahoe to be able to pull a trailer.   Would the
hitch transfer properly?

1 Answer

The drop hitch should fit into the receiver hitch. Simply remove it before selling the truck. I can't say if the receiver hitch will transfer or not but checking a site that sells hitches will show if the two vehicles use the same receiver hitch. My guess is you will need a new hitch for your Tahoe.
