how to reset a passcode on a 2005 jetta

I bought a 2005 Jetta cash it did not come with a manual.My battery was
loose and it wouldnt start.Once my husband tightened it the car started but  a
passcode was needed for the radio.The owner doesnt remember the
code..what do I do??

pull radio out get the radio #, with that and your registration dealer will give you radio code, unsure if they will charge you
