Found my coolant leak under the exhaust manifold,
ive been searching parts and cant find anything
that looks like it or figure out exactly what the part
is called so i can do a better search, any help
would be much appreciated.
It sounds like it's your side engine coolant flange. They are plastic unless you put an aluminum one in yourself so they tend to break or crack frequently. I had a similar problem and that's what it ended up being. It'skind of like a secondary thermostat. My car is the 2002 Gls 1.8t and its located on the drivers side about half way back towards the fire wall near the front of the air filter under the air filter hose... Hope this helps
