2003 vw Jetta won’t start sometimes

Randomly my Jetta will not start. When I turn the
key to the start position and keep it there it will turn
over for 2 seconds stop then try again for 2
seconds. Sometimes if I give it a little gas it will
start.

try cleaning the air intake throtle body temp sensor its either before the throtle body or in the intake manifold.
