sounds like the same thing that happened to my buddys car. Big thunk while driving and then it would not move. Put it in reverse after a shuttdown and it should start up again. Unfortunately i still don't know what it was that went i jsut know it was something in the trany. So your likely looking at a trany rebuild to find the issue.
