My 2001 Jetta Just decided it doesn't want to start?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

after I hadn't used it for a week. It turns over but won't start... it has a brand new battery,
fuel filter, air filterI tried boosting it but that didn't help. Also there is a epc light and battery
light on in the dash. Any help is appreciated!

When its turning over, does it have the normal sound or does it spin faster than it did previously? Timing should be checked to determine that timing belt didn't jump.
